The Solar Decathlon is the world's most significant international innovation competition in the field of construction, where this year the team of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Pécs in collaboration with the teams of the University of Miskolc and the University of Blida, Algeria will also compete.
On June 27/2019, the launching of the showrooms for the competition began, with the focus on promoting the use of natural renewable energies such as solar energy, initiating innovative engineering solutions and promoting practice of smart architectural future through projects set up by undergraduate teams.
Creative students and lecturers from the universities of Miskolc, Pécs and Blida, Algeria, set out as a goal to create a new "Hungarian-energy project" at this year's Solar Decathlon competition. This international consortium has been established as an interdigitation of multidisciplinary researchers from many disciplines. The team, speaking a common language of science, is working tirelessly to develop architectural solutions for a sustainable future.
