The Hungarian Hospital Association announced the Green Hospital Award for the first time this year. The aim of the award is to recognize and support hospitals that are committed to sustainability and environmental awareness and that have introduced and maintained exemplary solutions in these areas.
Nearly eighty players from the men's division of the Rátgéber Academy, their coach, and several of their colleagues took part in a litter collection campaign organized as part of the CSR program on Árpádtető, in cooperation with UP Green University and Mecsekerdő Ltd.
In April 2025, an exciting challenge began among the five dormitories of the University of Pécs: who can save the most water? The challenge was launched by the UP Green University Program Office in collaboration with the University Student Government, the Dormitory Department, and the Operations and Investment Directorate.
The UP-Affiliated Practical Elementary School N.1 organized the Our Environment – Our Health – Our Shared Future competition for the eighth time this school year. The aim of the competition is to teach children from a very young age to live in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way.

A fenntarthatóság nem csupán divatos kifejezés – egyre inkább elengedhetetlen szemléletmód. A PTE Zöld Egyetem Programiroda az Egyetemi Hallgatói Önkormányzattal együttműködve idén tavasszal egy dinamikus programmal bővítette fenntarthatósági törekvéseit: 2025. március 1. és április 30. között pilot jelleggel elindult az egyetem öt pécsi kollégiumában a PTE Zöld Egyetem Nagykövet program, amely során a hallgatók aktív szereplőként formálják fenntarthatóbbá kollégiumi közösségeiket.
A Fenntarthatósági témahét részeként ünnepélyes keretek között újabb Zsolnay-ivókutat adtak át, ezúttal a Pécsi Tudományegyetem Ifjúság úti campusán, a BTK-TTK díszudvarán április 7-én.
As part of the Sustainability Theme Week, another Zsolnay drinking fountain was ceremoniously unveiled on 7th April, this time at the University of Pécs's Ifjúság út campus, in the courtyard of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
One of the events of the 2025 Hungarian Year of Science series will take place on Monday, March 24: the 7th International Conference on Efficient Water Supply will be held at the headquarters of the Regional Committee of Pécs of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The opening lecture will be given by Ernő Wagner, President of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers, and will cover topics related to military drinking water safety and the UP Spongecity project.
