The University of Pécs is among the top 200 universities - the only Hungarian higher education institution in the province - in the latest international ranking of Times Higher Education. Among Hungarian universities, Semmelweis was ranked 70th, Eötvös Loránd University 149th, University of Pécs 176th, University of Szeged 201-250, University of Debrecen and Budapest University of Technology and Economics 251-300, Corvinus University of Budapest 301-350 and Szent István University 351-400.
