The UP is Hungary’s greenest university
The University of Pécs joined the Green University Program five years ago. The "Green University" idea is a complex system that includes the built environment, environmentally conscious operation, the development of related attitudes and the creation of educational and research backgrounds. 2020 has been a great year for the programme. The University of Pécs ranked 59th among 912 universities at the forefront of the world's "green universities", and ranked 1st in the rankings of Hungarian universities. In connection with the 2020 European Waste Reduction Week announced by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, the University of Pécs has been awarded the award for the most outstanding action in the category of educational institutions. The University of Pécs is the most environmentally conscious Hungarian university.
