The best of the county's economy were awarded on 14th February by the Pécs-Baranya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. At the event, Green University project of the UP was awarded the Baranya County Environmental Award.
The justification for the recognition of the Green University project states that the "Green University" concept is a complex system, which includes the built environment, environmentally conscious operation, the development of attitudes and the creation of an educational and research background. Currently, the University of Pécs offers nearly 200 courses on environmental issues and sustainable development. Significant amounts of money are spent on research and the number of publications on the subject is well documented.
The award was accepted by Prof. Dr. Attila Miseta, Rector of the UP.
